Coaching and consulting for executives.

Executive Coaching

Consultation with executives will utilize leading-edge research and the power of coaching to help leaders face new challenges: needing to downsize teams, handle emotionally sensitive issues, and develop a new, emotionally-driven skill set for leading. Areas of focus include team trust building, emotional agility, battling imposter syndrome, communicating clearly and with compassion, leading younger employees from the position of strengths (not weaknesses), listening skills, and inquiry work.

Consulting

Harvard Business Review says that one of the new positions emerging within HR and People departments is that of Chief Wellbeing Officer. If your HR department isn’t there yet, consult with the Wellbeing Workroom on developing wellbeing best practices, developing functional Employee Resource Groups, and supporting existing leadership on the path to creating a “positively deviant” organization.

Workplace Wellbeing 101

A sampler platter of the best research in Positive Psychology: developing resilience, encouraging positive mindset development, strengths-based leadership, and an overview of the three main models of wellbeing — with measurable criteria for establishing a starting point in each.

Leading by Emphasizing Strengths

The Wellbeing Workroom uses VIA survey, used by over 5 million people across the globe. The VIA is a free, psychometrically-valid online test to measure the 24 character strengths. Once those are determined, we can determine the best way to communicate, delegate, and give feedback to the individuals that encompass your team.

Critical Conversations

The conversation around “critical conversations” has focused on the past around what was said, and how the specific (often prickly) subject was brought up and handled. But what isn’t said is just as important. Sharpen your listening skills and develop what researchers call “deep inquiry work.” The problem at hand is seldom the issue at hand.

Meeting Facilitation

Whether it is year end assessment or future planning, I am able to facilitate your team visioning session. We can design a session that fits your needs, using creative prompts if desired, or I can jump right in where you left off. Scaled from individual project development of a few people to a full appreciative inquiry.

Innovation and Creativity

Innovation and creativity are both linked to a very important (and often overlooked) facet of work life: the amount of psychological safety experienced by group members. Current research shows that the higher the psychological safety, the higher the creative output of the group. Let’s study what it means, and how to grow it.
